Qatar Foundation

Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), headquartered in Qatar's capital city of Doha, is an independent, private, non-profit organization established in 1995 by His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar
The organization is chaired by Qatar's First Lady, Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser.  QF's mission is to support Qatar on its journey from an economy dependant on oil and gas to a knowledge economy.  It does so by unlocking human potential.
QF is dedicated to building centers of excellence that develop people's abilities through investments in innovative education, cutting-edge technology and advanced research.  This will contribute to improving the quality of life – in Qatar, in the Middle East, and in the world. The benefits will result in promoting education as the key to a country's development.  It will also build cross-cultural understanding and tolerance between East and West.
QF aims to unlock human potential through its three pillars: Education, Science & Research and Community Development. The benefits will not be limited to Qatar, but extend to regional and global scales.
Qatar Foundation is proud to have been selected to place its logo on the FC Barcelona jersey as part of a long –term partnership between Qatar and one of the most successful football clubs in the world.
Both FC Barcelona and Qatar Foundation are in the business of unlocking human potential among young people through various projects and programs. Thus, this is an opportunity for two organizations who share the same values to work together and develop joint programs aimed at helping to improve lives.
