Qatar PM: I don't know football rules despite winning World Cup 2022

Speaking alongside David Cameron, who was visiting the country as part of a Middle Eastern tour, Hamad bin Jassim al Thani admitted he was not a big sports fan and did not know the rules of football.
England failed in its bid to host the 2018 World Cup last year amid accusations of Fifa corruption while Qatar won the bid to host the 2022 World Cup.
Mr Cameron congratulated Sheikh Hamad on his country’s bid, which he said had been ‘very persuasive’.
Mr Cameron then answered a question on the treatment of gay fans in Qatar –where homosexuality is outlawed.
He said football was for everybody and no one should be excluded from football on the basis of their race or religion or sexuality.
Sheikh Hamad did not answer.
